We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in Nebraska, starting Jan 5, 2026. The role includes clinic shifts Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, ER coverage on weekends, and inpatient rounding, offering a dynamic schedule in a critical access hospital environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive family medicine care in a clinic setting, including yearly physicals, well visits, sick visits, referrals, sports physicals, laceration repair, and drainage procedures
- Manage a patient volume of 18-20 per day in the clinic
- Deliver emergency care in a small critical access hospital ER, handling 6-8 ER patients per day
- Stabilize and arrange transfer for critical patients, including those with chest pain, trauma from car accidents, and acute illnesses
- Perform intubation, arterial line, and central line placements as needed
- Cover inpatient unit with an average daily census of 3 patients
- Conduct early morning rounds for admitted patients
- Care primarily for an adult and older patient population, with minimal pediatric cases
Additional Information
- Nebraska medical license required
- Board certification in Family Medicine required
- Must have experience in both clinic and emergency room settings
- Ability to intubate and perform A-lines and C-lines required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
