Creative Dining Services at Auto Owners South in Lansing is seeking a Utility Worker. This is a full-time role designed to support the smooth and efficient operation of our business services environment without the need for night or weekend shifts. The primary goal of this role is to provide essential assistance in maintaining facility cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees and visitors. This position plays a critical role in supporting various departments by handling routine maintenance tasks, managing supplies, and assisting with logistical needs. The successful candidate will contribute to creating an environment that promotes productivity and operational excellence. Ultimately, this role ensures that the physical workspace meets company standards and supports the overall business objectives effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Previous experience in a utility, janitorial, or facilities support role.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a business services environment.
- Basic handyman skills for minor repairs.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and vendors.
- Experience working in a corporate office setting.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
- Manage inventory and restock supplies such as paper products, cleaning materials, and office essentials.
Skills:
The required skills such as attention to detail and physical stamina are essential for performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks effectively, ensuring the workspace remains safe and presentable.
