Join a dynamic team at Albany Medical Center, where we are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to provide exceptional patient care. As a CNM, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families in the OBGYN General department.

The CNM is an advanced practice nurse who plays a crucial role in patient assessment and management, including ordering diagnostic tests and implementing care plans. You will collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver family-centered care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Collect vital signs and clinical data, prepare patients for tests and treatments, and administer medications.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate billing codes and detailed patient medical records.
  • Lead clinical teams to ensure smooth patient processing and discharge.
  • Mentor new staff members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Midwifery program.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in nurse midwifery.
  • Strong ability to master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
  • Professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Must be compliant with HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Current CNM certification and RN state licensure required.
  • ATLS and BCLS certifications required upon hire.
