Title: Network Engineer

Duration: 6 Month contract to hire

Location: Columbia, MD

Rate: $50/hr - $55/hr

Requirements:

Overview

Seeking a motivated, hands-on Network Engineer to join a small, fast-paced infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in networking and a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco devices (routers, switches, Nexus).
  • Work with Meraki firewalls, wireless networks, and Zscaler technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure high network performance and reliability.
  • Visit local data centers as needed for maintenance and upgrades.
Qualifications
  • Strong networking fundamentals: switching, routing, and infrastructure management.
  • Hands-on Cisco experience (routers, switches, Nexus).
  • Experience with Meraki firewalls, wireless networks, and Zscaler (required).
  • F5 experience is a plus.
  • Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) and degree preferred but not required.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment.
