Are you a data leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and hands-on engineering? Grand Circle Corporation is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to modernize our enterprise data ecosystem and enable smarter, faster business decisions.

In this pivotal role, you'll blend traditional data warehousing expertise with modern cloud-based engineering. You'll design scalable data pipelines, lead modernization initiatives, and guide a small but high-impact team across cloud platforms, orchestration frameworks, and transformation tools. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll shape the technical direction, mentor developers, and collaborate closely with both business and technical stakeholders.
What You'll Do

  • Build & Lead: Manage and mentor a hybrid onshore/offshore team of up to 4 developers, driving accountability, quality, and technical growth.
  • Modernize: Lead the migration of legacy ETL (Informatica PowerCenter) to cloud-native, scalable architectures.
  • Engineer: Design and implement robust data pipelines using Snowflake, DBT, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Integrate: Connect diverse data sources-on-prem, cloud, APIs, XML feeds, and third-party systems-into unified, reliable datasets.
  • Collaborate: Partner with business stakeholders to translate data needs into elegant, efficient, and well-documented solutions.
  • Architect: Develop dimensional models, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Innovate: Contribute to architectural roadmaps and introduce modern best practices in automation, orchestration, and CI/CD.
  • Support: Provide hands-on technical guidance and occasional on-call production support as needed.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with strong exposure to both legacy and cloud environments.
  • Deep technical expertise in:
    • Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning)
    • DBT (data transformation, testing)
    • Apache Airflow (orchestration and workflow management)
    • Azure Data Factory / Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD
  • Proven success migrating from Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools to modern architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP data ecosystems.
  • Exposure to big data frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake).
  • Collaboration with Data Science teams or involvement in predictive analytics workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure Repos).
  • Experience integrating with Adobe Campaign or other marketing data platforms.
