Duties
As a Senior Surety Underwriter - Contract Surety, you'll underwrite contract surety bonds within your authority or make recommendations to leadership to ensure our profitability and performance remain top-tier. You'll travel regularly throughout your assigned territory to meet with agency partners, attend industry events, and build strong, lasting relationships that drive success. Collaboration is key in this role-you'll work closely with agents and internal teams to provide excellent underwriting services, while staying ahead of regional economic shifts, legal changes, and competitor activity. You'll also play a part in mentoring Associate Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants to help grow their expertise and enhance team performance.
Experience
This Senior Surety Underwriter - Contract Surety position is ideal for professionals with a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience in surety underwriting or a related field. We're looking for someone who brings strong analytical skills, confident decision-making, and a collaborative mindset to the table.
