Job Overview

As a Lead Shift Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing daily operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will support managers by taking on the responsibilities of Manager on Duty (MOD) and oversee various tasks such as staffing, cash handling, guest interactions, and more. This position requires hands-on involvement in service delivery, ensuring that standards are maintained throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service
    • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival
    • Deliver outstanding customer service from entry to departure
    • Become familiar with our menu and available cocktails
    • Address and resolve guest complaints on duty
  • Operational Duties
    • Handle cash transactions accurately
    • Assist in all front-of-house positions as needed
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
    • Monitor and ensure food safety standards during service
  • Leadership
    • Capably open and close the restaurant independently
    • Conduct checkouts for all front-of-house team members
    • Hold team members accountable to established standards
    • Assist in training new cashiers and team members
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform data entry, including invoices
    • Receive and verify inventory orders

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Proficiency in English
    • Ability to work well within a team
    • Basic math skills
    • Able to handle constructive criticism and resolve conflicts
    • Strong communication and technology skills
    • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior restaurant experience
    • Familiarity with Revel, Ctuit, or Zenput systems
    • Spanish-speaking ability
    • Previous management experience
    • Food Manager certification and any relevant local certifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds
  • Capability to stand for 8+ hours
  • Comfortable completing repetitive tasks
  • Quick mobility throughout the restaurant
  • Access to all areas of the restaurant
  • Adaptable to varying kitchen temperatures
