A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to oversee the financial management and compliance of multiple active grants that fund critical programs and services. This role plays a key part in ensuring fiscal integrity, accurate reporting, and strong collaboration between the Finance and Program teams. Ideal for someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in grant or fund accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full grant lifecycle, from award setup through reporting and closeout.
  • Maintain reporting calendars and ensure timely submission of all financial deliverables.
  • Review and monitor grant budgets, modifications, and expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as liaison between Finance and Program teams for grant-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate monthly grant billings, drawdowns, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure expenditures are allowable and properly coded in line with Uniform Guidance.
  • Prepare financial reports for funders and leadership.
  • Lead or support variance meetings and provide clear budget-to-actual analysis.
  • Support audit preparation and other financial reporting initiatives.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all funding streams.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of grants management or fund accounting experience.
  • Background in nonprofit or higher education environments.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., MIP, Microix) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to partner across finance and program teams.
  • CPA or CGFM certification a plus.
  • Experience with state, federal, and foundation grants.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting principles and 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance.
  • Experience leading variance meetings and building financial reports.


Compensation: $85,000 -$90,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
