Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with factory management, engineering, and peers to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement continuous improvements to maximize equipment uptime and meet production goals. Technicians will document all maintenance activities, participate in shift handoffs, and collaborate with vendors and field service representatives as needed.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
- Physical ability to stand and walk up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks requiring bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and squatting
- Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE, including when handling hazardous materials
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Direct experience working on wafer fabrication equipment
- Prior experience in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
- Experience collaborating with equipment vendors or OEM field service teams
