AV Housing Solutions operates both a property management division and an in-house renovation team in Marquette Michigan area. We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented carpenter who takes a team-first approach and is prepared to contribute to a wide range of construction and renovation projects. As a Skilled Carpenter, you will play a key role in framing, finish work, and full-scale renovations across our portfolio of homes and apartments. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, experience with residential remodeling, and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. You will help ensure every project enhances the living experience for our residents. This is a full-time position with opportunities to grow within a company that values craftsmanship, integrity, and quality housing. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, trim installation, door and window installation, and cabinet or built-in construction Complete renovation tasks such as drywall hanging and finishing, flooring installation, siding repairs, and interior/exterior finish work. Assist with full-unit remodels, including kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas. Renovating vacant units which could include but not limited to, framing, drywall, flooring, trim, window replacement, exterior siding, bathroom and kitchen remodel, etc Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure job sites are safe and secure. Collaborate with the project foreman to review plans, discuss timelines, and coordinate daily tasks. Communicate clearly with the project foreman regarding status, materials needed, and timelines. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations. Working on different sites and larger renovation or construction projects. Other roles on the construction side as needed Qualifications and skills Must be willing to relocate to Marquette Michigan for job, relocation benefits available 4 years as skilled carpenter (Candidate must be a skilled carpenter capable of completing complex carpentry tasks. Equivalent to journey-level carpentry skills and knowledge) Strong knowledge of multiple trades within residential construction Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations Problem solving little to no guidance Strong people and communication skills Excel in fast paced work environment Doing whatever is needed with a positive attitude Willing to take on expanded roles with a growing company including mentoring and training Company Description AV Housing Solutions is a growing real estate construction company dedicated to providing clean, safe, and affordable housing across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
