Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in San Leandro, CA to maintain heating and cooling systems for Bay Area commercial properties.

Impact

• Support business operations by maintaining reliable HVAC systems for office buildings and commercial facilities

• Extend equipment life and reduce replacement costs through expert preventive maintenance

• Improve energy efficiency and lower utility expenses by optimizing system performance

• Enhance indoor air quality and occupant comfort through proper ventilation and filtration

• Build lasting client relationships through professional service and technical expertise

Responsibilities

• Service commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, split systems, and exhaust fans

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures involving compressors, fans, motors, and controls

• Test refrigerant charge, airflow, and control sequences to ensure proper operation

• Replace worn components including belts, filters, bearings, and contactors

• Respond to service calls to restore heating and cooling systems quickly

• Inspect electrical components and test capacitors, relays, and motor circuits

• Complete service documentation and communicate findings to clients

• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions

• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper stock of parts and tools

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

• EPA Universal refrigerant certification

• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC mechanical and electrical systems

• Valid California driver's license

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice-to-Haves

• NATE certification in commercial HVAC

• Experience with building automation systems

• Knowledge of California Title 24 energy codes

• OSHA 10 certification
