Job Information
Hours per week: 40
Scheduled Work Days: Monday-Friday, with 4-10 hour shifts. No required nights, weekends, or major holidays; call is only for the eye team.
Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified external candidates with a 2-year commitment and at least 2 years of OR experience
Role Summary:
- CST I: Under general supervision, the Surgical Technologist I plays a vital role in the operating room team by preparing sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- CST II: The Certified Surgical Tech II operates with more autonomy, following established procedural guidelines and demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in patient care and the operation room team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military program.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an operating room setting is required. CST II applicants should demonstrate advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Physical Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform a range of physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces, ensuring safety and effectiveness in all functions.
