Mechanical Design Engineer II

Our client, a leader in the aerospace and energy industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer II, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams and global supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Design and analyze turbine hot gas path and rotor components for heavy-duty and aeroderivative engines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and supply chain partners to optimize hardware performance and manufacturability.
- Conduct evaluations and simulations using ANSYS and CAD software, particularly NX, to ensure design integrity.
- Participate in technical reviews, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure hardware designs meet product and quality standards, focusing on cost, variation, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- 4 to 8 years of engineering analysis experience, particularly in turbine component design.
- Experience designing and analyzing turbine blades, nozzles, shrouds, and rotors using ANSYS.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably NX.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and effective communication skills.
