The PLM Business Analyst will be a key player in analyzing and improving business processes related to product lifecycle management (PLM), focusing on the Windchill system. This role combines analytical skills, business acumen, and technical expertise to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. The PLM Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the functionality and effectiveness of PLM systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes related to product lifecycle management, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for Windchill PLM system enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear understanding and alignment of PLM objectives and deliverables.
  • System Implementation Support: Assist with the planning, testing, and deployment of updates or new implementations of the Windchill system, ensuring the solutions meet business needs.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop user guides and training materials, and conduct training sessions to facilitate user adoption and proficiency with the PLM systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and gather user feedback to propose and implement ongoing improvements to PLM processes and tools.
Required Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business analysis within a product development environment, with at least 2 years of experience working with Windchill PLM systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex business processes and data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear terms for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Windchill modules such as PDMLink, MPMLink, and ProjectLink. Familiarity with system configuration, data modeling, and workflow management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the semiconductor industry is highly desirable, providing context for PLM requirements and challenges.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or PLM systems are preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL databases, Java, and web technologies related to PLM system customization and integration.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
