Albany, NY, United States Lennar Full time
Business Analyst II

Lennar is one of the nation's leading homebuilders, dedicated to making an impact and creating an extraordinary experience for their Homeowners, Communities, and Associates by building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service, giving back to the communities in which we work and live in, and fostering a culture of opportunity and growth for our Associates throughout their career. As a Business Analyst II within Lennar's Technology Group (LTG), you will contribute to the success of enterprise platforms that support the full construction lifecycle. Reporting to the Manager II, you'll work alongside a focused team of technology professionals responsible for the development, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Lennar's business critical applications.

In this role, you will assist in enhancing the efficiency and usability of SaaS based platforms, support process improvements, and help streamline digital workflows that connect field operations with trade partners. You'll participate in the analysis of construction and back-office processes, help define functional requirements, and contribute to the delivery of scalable, cloud-based solutions. This position requires 6+ years of experience, strong analytical and systems thinking, and a passion for driving operational excellence in the construction industry through the thoughtful application of technology.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Assist in analyzing key business workflows, process maps, user journeys and identifying personas to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to document business and functional requirements aligned with operational needs.
  • Support the development of process documentation, including workflow diagrams and standard operating procedures, to inform platform enhancements.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity for both internal teams and external partners by implementing technology-enabled solutions, leveraging best practices in SaaS management, and focusing on scalable capability enablement rather than one-off, project-based requirements.
  • Support the configuration and enhancement of core SaaS applications used for construction scheduling, Resource planning, Master Data Management, compliance, and communication.
  • Assist in evaluating in-house tools and third-party platforms to identify improvement opportunities and integration needs.
  • Work with the team to maintain field enablement platforms and supplier-facing tools, ensuring user needs are effectively met.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and recommend scalable, cost-effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile project management concepts and agile tools such as Jira, including the ability to track progress, manage workflows, and support cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Translate field and business feedback into structured, actionable documentation for development and support teams.
  • Participate in impact assessments and ROI analysis to support decision-making on enhancement requests.
  • Help coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts by liaising with QA teams and end users in the field.
  • Assist in tracking and ensuring adherence to SaaS operational KPIs to identify data-driven opportunities for improvement. Monitor customer experience and satisfaction KPIs to ensure that released products and features align with user community needs and expectations.
  • Stay current with emerging technology trends, cloud platform architectures, SaaS business models, vendor roadmaps, cloud-based managed services, and data analytics/reporting environments to support the continuous evolution of systems and solutions.
  • Maintain alignment with the broader strategy, ensuring support and enhancements are coordinated with deployment teams under the leadership of the Manager II.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6 + years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of business systems, project lifecycles, and digital workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis, integration patterns, and storage solutions, using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake; familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Working knowledge of field and supplier technologies including Oracle E1, Hyphen Solutions (BuildPro/SupplyPro), and ProMax, with insight into their role in construction operations and trade partner collaboration.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and their impact on performance and scalability.
  • Familiar with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and basic systems management concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of data storage tiering and performance optimization.
  • Awareness of audit, compliance, and data privacy principles in enterprise environments.
  • Foundational understanding of process automation and RPA to reduce manual tasks.
  • Exposure to modular, decoupled design patterns supporting scalable, maintainable solutions.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving real-world operational challenges.
  • Clear communication and collaboration abilities across field, corporate, and vendor teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Detail-oriented with experience in creating business and systems documentation.
  • Committed to delivering user-focused solutions that improve construction workflows and supplier coordination.
