In 2017, Shields created the Strategic Operations group to work directly with the Executive Leadership team to execute on all company priorities, including strategy & growth workstreams, operational improvement initiatives, business development opportunities and new business innovation ideas. Members have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the Company before finding an operations or functional leadership role or leading a new growth initiative for the business.

This will be a very hands?on and analytical role that supports the Operations leadership team to drive excellent clinical, operational, and financial performance for Shields health system specialty pharmacy partnerships. Strategic Operations professionals will manage cross?functional projects through completion and support initiatives with data?driven insights.

The ideal candidate is a great communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, highly resourceful, strong analytical skills and able to work comfortably inside a highly entrepreneurial environment that is very results?oriented.

• Work directly with regional Operations leadership teams to identify and execute health system partnership priorities.
• Support Regional Vice Presidents and Directors of Operations to facilitate successful financial, operational, and clinical outcomes for Shields partnerships.
• Assist in day?to?day strategy and operations for the region.
• Facilitate internal discussions with operations and cross?functional teams to advance strategic priorities of health system partnerships.
• Develop financial forecasts and detailed data analyses to support decision making.
• Assist in facilitating effective decision?making through analysis and execution of strategic projects.
• Act as a key member of the Strategic Operations team to drive growth across the organization.
• Work on projects as directed by the Executive Leadership Team to execute key business priorities & corporate strategies.
• Support the execution of operational and strategic initiatives.
• Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the C?Suite to facilitate efficient decision making.
• Proactively pursue ancillary business and growth opportunities.
  

• Bachelors Degree.
• 13 years work experience, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a strategy role in a high?growth healthcare start?up environment.
• Entrepreneurial attitude willingness to roll up sleeves and work cross?functionally to make things happen quickly.
• Highly motivated, results?driven professional who can thrive in a team?oriented environment.
• Experience summarizing and presenting company results in formal Management or Board of Director settings.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization.
• Analytically oriented; makes and defends decisions based on hard data.
• Hard worker and self?starter who can work independently with limited oversight.
• Effective at multi?tasking and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Will travel 510% of time to meet with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff.
  

An employee in this position can expect a salary rate between $100,000 and $120,000 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable.
