A Human Resource Business Partners primary responsibility is to ensure that HR initiatives align with a companys overall business needs.

Responsibilities Include

  • Organizing and leading weekly or monthly meetings with field leaders to discuss ongoing business needs and develop HR strategies that support business objectives
  • Partner with field leaders to develop and retain top talent, focusing on areas like succession planning and performance management
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Support managers and employees through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication.
  • Communicating upper managements goals to the HR and Operations leadership
  • Developing strategies to strengthen relationships between HR and the rest of the company
  • Staying up to date on HR trends and best practices as well as employment laws and regulations
  • Briefing HR recruiters about staffing needs and providing feedback about recent hiring successes and challenges
  • Writing and revising HR policies to ensure alignment with company strategies and goals Ensure the consistent and effective implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organization

Skills

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand business goals and translate them into effective HR strategies.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex HR issues, often involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive HR initiatives.
  • Knowledge of HR Practices: Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law in both the US and Canada. Knowledge of Mexico and Brazil is a plus.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor managers on HR-related topics.
  • Change Management: Experience in leading and supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of the broader business context and how HR can contribute to business success.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, related field or professional experience equivalent; Masters degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR roles within fast-paced and matrix organizations with a minimum of 2000 employees
  • Formal training in Employee Relations, particularly investigations
  • Prior experience with Paycom a plus
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
