As a Holiday Sales Associate, you will play an essential role on our store team during the busy seasonal period. Your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional customer service and support store operations by participating in the day-to-day activities. If you are dedicated to customer satisfaction and can work during peak sales periods, we want to hear from you
Key Responsibilities- Deliver top-notch customer service by warmly greeting guests, assisting them with their gaming needs, and providing recommendations. Always express gratitude for their choice to shop with GameStop.
- Support an engaging shopping environment while actively participating in all sales initiatives during the holiday season.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store and ensure displays are visually appealing and merchandised correctly.
- Assist in stocking merchandise and transferring products from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring everything is presented well and accessible.
- Help the team achieve and surpass sales, profit, and inventory management goals.
- Effectively address guest inquiries and concerns, escalating any issues to a supervisor when necessary.
- Contribute to inventory control and loss prevention efforts by being aware of potential theft and following safety guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to attendance, privacy, and ethical responsibilities.
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service abilities.
- Provide genuine assistance to every customer.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Adapt well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Meet performance standards for attendance, appearance, and grooming while being able to stand and move around the store for up to 8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift merchandise up to 30 lbs and navigate ladders.
- Be reliable and trustworthy.
