Job Summary and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care across diverse age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Demonstrate competence in diagnostic radiography and utilizing digital imaging equipment.
- Manage RIS and Meditech systems for scheduling and patient tracking.
- Maintain infection control practices in all responsibilities.
- Facilitate urgent exams as needed.
- Identify and address image artifacts; keep imaging equipment clean.
- Gather patient histories and assist radiologists during procedures.
- Report equipment issues promptly.
- Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
Additional Roles:
- Handle medical contrast agents as necessary.
- Participate in safety and compliance protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support Methodist Healthcare's mission and goals.
- Uphold ethical standards in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Certificate in Radiologic Technology or Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- No prior experience necessary, but familiarity with PACS and digital radiology is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Medical Board required.
- ARRT certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
