Full-Time - Salary
Schedule: 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday (Saturdays may be required during tax season)

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000

Job Summary:

As a Staff Accountant at SMG ABA LLC, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of multiple clients. From preparing profit and loss reports and analyzing financial data to handling payroll and account reconciliations, you'll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our clients' accounting records. What You'll Do:
  • Reconcile client accounts on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions, including entries from point-of-sale systems.
  • Process weekly payroll with precision and timeliness.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts, resolving discrepancies swiftly.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt processing and accurate records.
  • Generate weekly and monthly profit and loss reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with payroll tax and sales tax preparation, ensuring full compliance.
  • Contribute to monthly closeout procedures, maintaining accurate financial records across various accounts.
What You'll Need:
  • Experience: 2-3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, with a strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of journal entries, debits, credits, and accounting principles.
  • Attention to Detail: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Client-Focused: Proactive, with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
