Position Overview
The Landscape Maintenance Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Field Manager by overseeing labor and materials to effectively complete contract maintenance and snow removal projects. This position is essential in fostering team development and ensuring project success, which is reflected in contract renewals and efficient job completions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and align with the company's operational philosophies, branch goals, and financial standing.
  • Engage with team members to facilitate their growth within the company.
  • Actively participate in training programs, including attendance and facilitation of certification training sessions.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of job budgets and monitor hours, reports, and costs. Communicate these budget parameters to crew members.
  • Regularly inspect work quality at the end of each day, actively addressing any issues with customers.
  • Ensure maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment is upheld.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage individuals at various levels.
  • Demonstrated experience working with service customers.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in contract maintenance within a commercial setting.
  • A relevant two or four-year degree in horticulture or a related field, along with two years of industry experience; additional experience or certifications may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Skills in identifying and diagnosing pest and disease issues and scheduling appropriate treatments.
  • Familiarity with vehicles and equipment used in maintenance and snow removal contracts.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years.
