Sales Associate

Join our team as a Seasonal Sales Associate and help us deliver an outstanding shopping experience to every customer At Kirkland's Home, we prioritize customer service and support each other in operations and merchandising. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, whether it's through selling, cashiering, or making our store inviting and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service both in-store and online.
  • Engage with customers enthusiastically and model effective selling techniques.
  • Welcome every customer with a friendly attitude and readiness to help.
  • Understand and respond to customer cues to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Inform customers about loyalty programs, promotions, and product ranges to help increase sales.
  • Uphold our company's values by treating customers and colleagues with respect and professionalism.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals aligned with company initiatives.
  • Assist in receiving merchandise safely and efficiently.
  • Help keep the sales floor and stockroom organized and efficient.
  • Maintain accurate product presentations, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Embark on a customer commitment journey reflecting our core values: Customer Commitment, Caring Culture, Winning Attitude, and Innovative Spirit.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support store operations.

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, people-oriented, and results-driven with a competitive mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Ability to read and follow company guidelines and instructions.
  • Flexible schedule to adapt to store needs.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable ascending and descending ladders to access products.
  • Willing to frequently stock and retrieve merchandise on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
  • Able to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods.
  • Skilled in customer interaction in person, electronically, and via phone.
  • Physically able to lift and move heavy merchandise (50 pounds or more).
  • Efficient in operating Point of Sale systems and registers.
