Family Nurse Practitioner

Baptist Urgent Care is seeking compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide outstanding patient care.

JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be essential in delivering top-notch medical care to patients of all ages with diverse acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating within a dynamic healthcare team, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while ensuring the highest standards of care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities represent the expectations for this position, encompassing a range of duties:

• Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Offer friendly and convenient care to all individuals seeking health-related services.
• Provide leadership and support during emergencies, maintaining a comforting presence for patients.
• Adapt to a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment, including long variable hours and frequent interaction with others.
• Conduct medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for various patient needs, including primary care and urgent care.
• Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, pap tests, injections, and more.
• Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for patients.
• Oversee on-site lab and imaging services when applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies consistently.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to ensure compliance with medical policies and standards.
• Engage in the development and revision of policies impacting medical practice and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in continuing education programs for all healthcare personnel.
• Suggest developments for new or existing services.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and accreditation requirements.
• Assist in creating educational programs for staff.
• Represent the clinic at meetings and events as needed.
• Guide and support other medical staff to maintain high-quality services and patient satisfaction.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.
• Active state license as an APRN or PA.
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) board certification.
• Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
• Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Current BLS certification.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Our full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 30-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

Baptist Urgent Care operates multiple locations across Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas, under the Urgent Team affiliation, one of the largest independent urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer a variety of healthcare services for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care, and are open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All our centers are Accredited Care Centers, signifying our commitment to safety, quality, and a broad scope of services.
