PAY GRADE 11: $17.94 to $19.04 (Based upon education and experience)

LENGTH: 7.5 hours daily/198 days yearly

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

Anticipated start date: December 15,2025

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Three years job experience or graduation from a recognized school of secretarial or bookkeeping skills and two years job experience; or two years successful employment within this district or in another district of comparable size.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Types and handles various types of correspondence and paperwork including letters, memoranda, invoices, purchase orders, reports, etc. Must be computer literate.
  • Meets and interacts daily with staff, students, parents and general public on school related/student matters.
  • Responds to staff and parent requests via e-mail, voice mail, and phone calls. Routes calls and/or conveys messages as needed.
  • Organizes and maintains office filing systems, files correspondence and other records.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, distributes agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records minutes of meetings.
  • Manages principal's communications and correspondence including the weekly newsletter, staff notes, and electronic bulletin board.
  • Requests substitute teachers, completes attendance reports, and processes time cards.
  • Maintains calendar of school events and manages building usage schedules.
  • Administers first aid and assists students in the health clinic under the direction of the school nurse and follows related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Principal and/or other designee.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
