CGP: Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process and record all financial transactions, including deposits, checks, ACH, wires, credit card payments, and transfers, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances on a regular basis.
- Generate daily cash position reports to support financial planning and liquidity management.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and transaction processing.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for reviewing financial data and resolving discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for handling large data sets.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial operations.
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices.
- Ability to research, compile, and analyze financial data for reports and projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
