Job Type : Full Time Location : Spartanburg, South Carolina Pay : Great Pay Job Description What you will be doing:
- Lead and perform electrical engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance.
- Assist with design, integration, installation, and support of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition systems.
- Modify electrical control circuits and PLC/HMI programs.
- Work with the maintenance team in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition breakdowns.
- Partner with Health, Safety, and Environmental team to ensure compliance with standards, practices, and policies for pollution control.
- Determine root cause failure analysis and development of corrective action plans.
- Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes.
- Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as the execution of electrical safety initiatives.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
- Apply Six Sigma, SPC, Lean, 5S, and TPM applications.
- Ensure compliance with all safety/environmental standards and promote safe work practices.
- Respond to maintenance issues with equipment and control systems in support of a 24/7 operation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in polymer science or textile manufacturing is a plus.
- Practical experience in Allen-Bradley AC variable speed drives.
- Experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC systems.
- Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems.
- Experience with industrial database systems (WonderWare).
- Experience in Siemens variable speed drives / European control schemes is a plus.
- Knowledge of Siemens PLCs.
- Experience in VMWare.
- Knowledge of servers and thin client technology.
- Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Solid analytical ability to determine and develop solutions to moderately complex problems.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace - arc flash energy and shock hazards.
- Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources.
- Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.
- Experience in electrical power distribution, equipment, protection, and sizing.
- Proficient in computer applications and analysis of process data.
- CAD (AutoCAD) experience and ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings.
- Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot electrical/process control systems.
- Ability to be physically mobile throughout the Spunbond Process (stairs, heat, noise).
- Ability to safely lift material weights up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel periodically, domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary to complete work assignments.
