Position Overview

Kovalus offers comprehensive solutions for the most challenging applications in food and beverage, life science, and general industrial markets. Senior Accountant, while reporting to the Accounting Manager, is responsible for supporting the Company's global financial consolidation and financial statement preparation processes and supporting various forms of daily, weekly, monthly financial metrics, reporting and analysis for the global ~$250M business. www.kovalus.com

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for general ledger reconciliations and support preparation of monthly financial statements including Management Reporting Package, Bank Reporting, Investor and Senior Management Reporting and other analysis of financial results.
  • Lead or support preparation of KPI's, various daily/weekly/monthly operational dashboards, other reporting and analysis tools to enhance timely business decision making by senior management & functional leaders across all locations.
  • Responsible for various aspects of VAT reporting.
  • Support technical application of accurate revenue recognition (ASC-606)
  • Work directly with various global site accounting and operational teams to complete financial close process in a timely manner, while also fulfilling accounting and finance support needs globally on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Support treasury activities, reporting and analysis as needed on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Support external independent audit of Company's financial statements.
  • Update/maintain accounting policies & procedures, support strong internal controls & consistent quality of financial results.
Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting/ Finance and 5+ years of extensive financial and accounting experience including with complex, global financial closing and consolidation processes.
  • This position is not eligible for Sponorship now or in the future.
Preferred:
  • Strong technical accounting and financial acumen including experience interpreting and applying U.S. GAAP including revenue recognition rules and other technical authoritative guidance for financial reporting both domestically and in other countries, as applicable.
  • Highly disciplined individual with strong attention to detail and strict adherence to all deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Collaborative & proactive individual, demonstrated ability to interface with cross-functional teams on a global basis.
  • Team player with high emotional intelligence and ability to work under pressure while multi-tasking and prioritizing various roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach, willingness to do whatever is necessary to fulfill internal and external customers' needs from an accounting and financial perspective.
  • Strong leadership skills with focused commitment to Company growth and success.
Physical Requirements:
  • No significant physical requirements.
  • Able to walk up flights of stairs in and around Corporate Office or other locations.
  • Periodic air travel may be required to Company locations.
