Sales and Use Tax Senior

Our State and Local Tax team is looking for a Sales Tax Senior Associate with a background in consulting.

As a Sales Tax Senior, you will:

• Review clients' accounts payable records and capital expenditures for sales and use tax overpayments, work to reduce client's tax audits, and assist with strategic tax planning.

• Code and enter findings and results into Excel spreadsheets.

• Prepare Report of Findings and training materials for clients.

• Prepare required documentation (spreadsheets, forms, copies, etc.) to validate tax refunds.

• Communicate and meet with various tax authorities and vendors to obtain tax refunds on behalf of clients.

• Prepare status reports for clients.

• Research tax laws for exemptions and tax savings for clients.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

• Ability to work in a team environment and understand the importance of providing the highest level of service to clients.

• Organizational skills, with the ability to be detail oriented and thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Access is a plus. Accounts payable experience is required.

Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
