Position Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a Pasadena law firm to find a dependable and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk to support its finance and administrative operations during a defined assignment period. This is a clerical, entry-level role focused primarily on data entry of invoices and related financial information. This position is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on office and accounting experience in a professional law firm environment.
Responsibilities

  • Enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently into Emburse (formerly Chrome River)
  • Perform data entry of invoice, expense, and payment-related information into the firm's internal database
  • Review invoices for completeness and basic accuracy (vendor name, dates, amounts, approvals)
  • Assist with invoice tracking and electronic filing
  • Match invoices to supporting documentation when required
  • Communicate with administrative staff regarding missing or incomplete invoice information
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records in accordance with firm procedures
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Entry level - no prior A/P experience required; training provided
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Comfortable working with numbers and routine, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Previous clerical, administrative, or data entry experience
  • Exposure to accounts payable or expense reporting processes
  • Familiarity with Emburse / Chrome River or similar systems
  • Interest in accounting, finance, or law firm administration
Assignment Details
  • Temporary role with an expected duration communicated during the interview process
  • No guarantee of permanent employment
  • Schedule and assignment length subject to business needs
