Travel Nursing Job Details Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Shelby, North Carolina (NC 28150) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Unit: Medical/Surgical & Telemetry (32 beds) Start Date: September 29, 2025 End Date: December 27, 2025 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30am - 7:00pm) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Holiday Coverage: 75% of holidays required Scrub Color: Navy Free Parking Available Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470-$1570 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 18 months of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry RN experience Proficient in Med/Tele nursing skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management Epic EMR experience preferred First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adults with diverse diagnoses, including stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu, pneumonia, COVID-19), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wound management Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 for optimal care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists Utilize Epic EMR and advanced unit technology, including virtual nursing cameras Manage admissions, discharges, medication administration, and continuous patient monitoring Foster a positive, patient-centered unit culture focused on teamwork and professional growth Apply now to join our healthcare team in Shelby, NC and take the next step in your travel nursing career Benefits 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision About GHR With over 30 years of healthcare staffing experience, GHR Healthcare is your trusted partner in finding the perfect contract or permanent role in the healthcare industry.
