We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Financial Advisor who will build strong relationships with clients and assist them with attaining their financial goals. As an Associate Financial Advisor, you will support all aspects of financial planning and investment management for our valued clients. You'll be comfortable and confident when interacting with clients to ensure a thorough and robust financial planning experience.

In your new role, you can expect to:

  • Consistently provide superior professional service to internal and external customers.
  • Consistently meet expectations of teamwork, punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.
  • Manages customer accounts and processes all Commonwealth related transactions following well-defined procedures.
  • Assume regulatory compliance set by FINRA and in keeping with the philosophy of Commonwealth and the Bank.
  • Actively supports the institution’s total marketing concept.
  • Open customer accounts, initiates and confirms customer orders, maintains customer files and records of all Commonwealth activities and prepares all required reports.
  • Maintain the Commonwealth offices and display areas and may coordinate public relations activities with branch locations.
  • Cross-sell other Bank products and services.
  • Maintains all information in strict confidence and takes the necessary actions to safeguard the assets of the institution and its customers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of services, products, and policies of Commonwealth and the Bank.
  • Develop an understanding of the CRA. Considers both state and federal community reinvestment acts when developing new or redesigning existing products.
  • Develops strong relationships with branch management, retail and lending staff. Provides support, training, and guidance in all investment related products, services, and initiatives.
  • Reviews market and economic trends.
  • Research investments and options to enhance client relationships, place trades, and maintain up to date files & client communications
  • Manage client relationships through ongoing client communication to establish and maintain a complete understanding of their financial objectives
  • Identifying and delivering exceptional client-focused customer service in all aspects of asset management, financial plan development, and estate planning
  • Consult with attorneys, accountants, and other advisors on financial, estate and tax planning

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Series 7 required
  • Series 63 (required or obtained w/in 3 months)
  • 3-5 years of experience in the industry
  • 3-5 years in similar role
  • Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated growth in current or past roles
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with keen attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to work successfully in a small company environment
