Your Role:

As a Tax Consultant at H&R Block, you will receive dedicated support and expert training to set you up for success. Enjoy the flexibility and earning potential that comes with this role while growing your expertise.

  • Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients through various channels including in-person and virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
  • Prepare accurate and complete tax returns.
  • Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and propose additional services.
  • Assist clients with IRS inquiries and support.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to achieve office goals.
  • Continuously grow your tax expertise and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience in customer service or retail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
  • Availability to work 25-35 hours weekly during tax season, reaching up to 40 hours in peak weeks.

Your Skills:

  • Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
  • A proven record of success in dynamic work environments.
  • Comfort in using virtual communication tools.
  • Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Compliance with all IRS and state requirements.
  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent.
