Ward Trucks of Mobile is hiring an outside parts salesman.
Summary
- Outside Parts Salesman are responsible for selling parts in sales territories, over-the-phone, and occasionally, on-line, to our customers while promoting and maintaining a positive, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within the parts department.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts.
2. Providing pricing and product information to customers.
3. Answering telephones promptly.
4. Maintaining customer satisfaction at or above company standards.
5. Assisting with inventory validation.
6. Contributing to departmental production and profitability goals.
7. Ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within company guidelines.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Preferred experience in outside parts sales.
- Heavy Duty Parts Counter experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Compensation/Work Schedule
Salary Plus Commission
M - F 8 hour shift + Rotating Saturdays 7:00am to 12:00pm
