Qualifications:
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mental Health, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Sensitivity in relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating an ability to work with various groups possessing unique strengths, aptitudes, and abilities.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

We assist over 43,000 youth and their families every year as they work towards achieving resiliency, dignity, and self-sufficiency through our 25+ programs.
Position Summary:
As a Youth Mental Health Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in caring for our clients, working alongside licensed professionals and gaining valuable clinical experience. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining awareness of clients' emotional conditions, providing essential emotional support, assistance, and motivation in their daily care.
Responsibilities Include:
- Participating in clients' progress by monitoring and evaluating their responses to treatment, attending staff meetings and clinical rounds, and completing necessary status reports and paperwork.
- Facilitating treatment programs and cottage groups on topics such as anger management, relationship building, self-esteem, etc.
- Protecting clients from physical and emotional harm, utilizing the Therapeutic Crisis Model of Intervention when necessary.
- Providing a structured environment and day-to-day care for clients.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the client environment.
