Are you a great listener, a strong advocate, and someone who thrives on helping others feel supported and understood? We're looking for a Resident Support Specialist (that's our way of saying "awesome Social Services team member") to join our care community. In this role, you'll help residents navigate life's challenges and transitions with compassion, respect, and encouragement.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Build trust and connection with residents and their loved ones
- Develop social histories and care plans tailored to each individual
- Provide support during admissions and discharges, making the process smooth and welcoming
- Connect residents with community resources for medical, emotional, or financial support
- Assist the Social Services Director in running effective, meaningful programs
- Help shape policies that support well-being and dignity
- Listen actively, respond thoughtfully, and be a calming presence for those in your care
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field (Required)
- Experience in long-term care a big plus
- Great communication skills - both written and spoken
- Computer savvy and comfortable with documentation
