About Us:

We are a small dedicated law firm specializing exclusively in representing policyholders in first-party property insurance claims. Our mission is to advocate for clients who are either seeking assistance in handling a claim, or have been wrongfully denied coverage and to secure the benefits they deserve under their insurance policies.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and talented First-Party Claims Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of trial/courtroom experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes courtroom litigation, such as experience as a prosecutor or public defender, and will thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This role involves handling breach of contract claims against insurance companies for failure to indemnify their policyholders, with significant courtroom work and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent policyholders (clients) in first-party property insurance disputes, including breach of contract claims.
  • Prepare and litigate cases in court, including motions, hearings, and trials.
  • Counsel clients on case strategy, legal rights, and claim developments.
  • Conduct discovery, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with experts, insurance adjusters, and other professionals as needed.
  • Maintain detailed case files and adhere to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2-3 years of trial experience, preferably in courtroom litigation.
  • Prior experience as a prosecutor, public defender, or in a role with extensive courtroom exposure is highly desirable.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Insurance Industry Experience is not required (we provide all training)
