Tax Accountant

A well-established local accounting firm in St. Louis, MO, with over 20 years in business, is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with early-career experience in accounting or tax who's ready to step into a steady, growth-oriented role with a firm that values work-life balance.
.What You'll Do
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
- Assist with tax research and client communications
- Support audits and respond to tax notices as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized client files
- Perform general ledger duties as part of the accounting team
- Help manage business licenses, property tax, and unclaimed property filings
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or tax (internships accepted)
- CPA license or progress toward CPA is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team
- Consistent hours year-round (no busy season overload)
