Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a wide range of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using standardized assessments and innovative observation techniques.
  • Craft tailored treatment strategies that focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, voice, fluency, and swallowing interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team-physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families-to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond clinical appointments.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Uphold precise and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay engaged with the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and peer networking.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • As a bonus, the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA is preferred.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.

  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and integrated care teams.
  • Capability to modify therapy approaches to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment combined with adept problem-solving prowess.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
