About the Team

The Tax Technology Senior Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day success of the finance function on the Tax Team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with internal finance stakeholders to understand business use cases Identifying improvement opportunities, defining requirements and scope.

  • Taking ownership of developing and executing new and existing solutions while adhering to committed timelines and providing regular status updates.

  • Developing a deep understanding of our enterprise billing system and relevant data to create best in-class solutions through streamlined queries and workflows.

  • Creating robust solutions to assess risks and provide analytical support to Zoom's subject-matter experts, including but not limited to, assistance with audit support.

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes, system configurations, and automation workflows.

  • Partnering with technical data and engineering teams to identify, ingest, validate, and transform data from new sources for use in reporting.

  • Responsible for maintaining data quality and consistency with internal partners through effective reconciliation processes and procedures.

  • Authoring, reviewing, and facilitating alignment on Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) by incorporating stakeholder feedback and ensuring cross-functional buy-in on project scope and deliverables.

  • Supporting requirements gathering and user acceptance testing (UAT) during enterprise systems implementations and cross-functional projects.

  • Ensuring data security of relevant data stored in cloud systems by monitoring role access and partnering with data platform teams to provide recommendations.

  • Reviewing, developing, and enhancing new and existing processes. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and data privacy rules and regulations.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in similar a role providing operational and technical data analytical support within a corporate team or a global consulting firm. Experience with bridging the gap between technical and business teams in technology solutions and process improvements.

  • 2+ years of direct experience writing and reviewing SQL queries, within a finance, accounting, or tax capacity. Experience with Python, VBA, or similar programming languages is nice to have.

  • Experience with AI/LLM, RPA, Alteryx, Jira, Confluence, and Tableau are nice to have.

  • Experience working with data collected from a variety of sources including Excel, flat files, databases, and APIs.

  • Experience with interpreting and extracting large volumes of tax and/or transaction data from enterprise systems (Zuora, Avalara, Fonoa, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.) is nice to have.

  • Experience building solutions subject to SOX controls, including interfacing with internal/external auditors and data privacy laws, is a nice-to-have.

  • High level of detail-orientation with an eye for accuracy is an absolute must.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with a demonstrated ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.

  • Continuous improvement mindset to bring best practices and efficiencies to repeatable processes.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$76,800.00

Maximum:

$186,200.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
