The Clinical Associate Manager will oversee, train, and manage Clinical Directors within their assigned market. This role is accountable for center performance, profit and loss, market growth, and fostering a positive organizational culture. The incumbent will spend some time providing direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) while also dedicating time to leadership responsibilities aimed at enhancing clinical operations and outcomes. The distribution of time will vary based on factors such as PCP capacity, market demands, and direction from the Regional President.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage Clinical Directors across multiple centers, ensuring regular presence and hands-on engagement.
• Drive successful clinical operations while achieving or exceeding market earnings goals.
• Coach and mentor Medical Directors to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Lead talent development initiatives for PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors, including practice shadowing and performance management.
• Promote a cohesive and aligned center-level physician culture that reflects ChenMed's core values.
• Support the Clinical Center of Excellence (COE) in training new practitioners.
• Contribute to recruitment efforts for PCPs and specialists.
• Build strong relationships within the community and healthcare network to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
• Monitor and address workplace culture, responding quickly to concerns.
• Review center-level referrals and assist with utilization authorizations.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Supporting quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Conducting monthly scorecard reviews and clinical metric analysis.
• Training other ChenMed entities as required.
• Developing relationships with key market stakeholders.
• Implementing cost reduction strategies and clinical initiatives.
• Delivering outstanding clinical care to a patient panel as a PCP (20% of the time).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer relationships.
• Excellent clinical and analytical skills, with experience in managed care systems.
• Understanding of clinical outcomes and quality improvement processes.
• Skills in conflict management and resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to travel locally and regionally, up to 30% of the time.

Spoken and written fluency in English is required along with independent judgment in performing job duties.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with 3 years preferred.
• 1 year of prior experience as a Medical Director or equivalent role is strongly preferred.
• Current and active medical license in the state of employment.
• Strong history of clinical leadership and management experience.
• Experience with population risk management and chronic disease care is preferred.

Compensation:

Salary ranges from $238,832 to $341,189.
