Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Mechanical and Structural Engineering Managers (Level K) to support our Structures Engineering team based in Everett, WA .

These management positions are available in both airplane programs and the functional organization, supporting BCA priorities of delivering safe, high-quality engineering solutions for production and development programs. The successful candidate will have strong engineering expertise, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

  • Leads development of engineering solutions for Structures teams (Airframe, Propulsion, Systems/Interiors/Liaison Stress or elsewhere within the Function) in support of current and future commercial airplane products.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.

  • 1+ years of experience in leading a team, formally or informally.

  • 5+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, or Civil.

  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.

  • Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines, production and/or regulatory organization.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $147,050 - $198,950
