As a Counselor on our team, you'll thrive in a setting where both you and your clients can flourish. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct culturally sensitive assessments for new clients and families, fostering a welcoming environment for diverse backgrounds.
- Provide customized outpatient individual and family therapy based on each client's unique needs, promoting healing and resilience.
- Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans that empower clients on their mental health journeys.
- Engage in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning to enhance overall client care.
- Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorizations, maintaining high professional standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and other therapists to offer holistic mental health care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
- Provisional license per state regulation when required.
- Educational background that enables professional licensing.
- A passionate commitment to providing high-quality mental health care.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development, including free supervision and continuing education.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to enhance client outcomes.
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills with a talent for building rapport with clients and families.
- Effective time management abilities to complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.

Columbia Mental Health is committed to equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $47 - $55 per billable unit. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market adjustments, and available incentive opportunities. These ranges reflect our current compensation standards and may be adjusted over time to stay competitive and align with organizational needs.
