Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Medical Surgical Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through effective oversight of unit functions, staffing, forecasting, planning, and budget management. This role promotes a culture of accountability and collaboration while developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with facility goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or alternate approved education plan required; BSN preferred.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required; at least 1 year in a leadership role in an acute care environment is necessary.
- Must hold a current registered professional nurse license in the state(s) of practice or possess an active compact license as required by law and regulation.
- BLS certification is required.
