About The Position
Job Title: Echocardiography Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echo Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8/10 hour days Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS Must-Have: Pediatric and adult experience required ARDMS certifications in Adult Echo and Pediatric Echo are a plus Ability to perform standard and transesophageal echocardiograms Description: The position involves conducting echocardiography studies for both pediatric and adult patients. The average number of studies performed daily is approximately 15-20. The department is equipped with 2 scanning rooms and 1 holding area. Staff will only work in echocardiography and transesophageal echo areas. The echocardiography team collaborates closely with RNs for procedures that require IV starts. The use of electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC, is required. There is a call requirement for stat echocardiograms during evenings and nights every third night. Weekend call duty includes being on call every third Saturday. Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code policy. The cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel a specified number of shifts per assignment duration.
