Major Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a clean and safe area conducive to optimal patient care by utilizing aseptic surgical techniques.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for various surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile field.
  • Set up and maintain the operating room environment efficiently and safely, including moving and operating equipment.
  • Function effectively as a Second Assistant when needed.
  • Monitor and report any equipment issues promptly.
  • Transport patients and supplies, maintaining patient safety at all times.
  • Contribute to specialty equipment management, ensuring readiness for surgeries.
  • Provide age-appropriate care by understanding growth and development principles.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 6 months.
  • No prior experience is required, making this a perfect opportunity for new graduates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist and push/pull with up to 30 lbs of force.
  • Engagement in regular movement, including walking, standing, squatting, and bending throughout your shift.
