Document Controls Specialist

Procon is seeking a Document Controls Specialist based in Orlando, FL. This role involves managing project documentation and communication processes for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- BA or BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction document controls, project management, or similar roles.
- Strong familiarity with construction documentation processes and best practices.
- Experience with eBuilder is required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on public sector or City/State projects is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage all aspects of project documentation, including preparation, distribution, and tracking of documents.
- Establish and maintain document control processes to ensure compliance with project standards and requirements.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders regarding documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of all construction documents, including RFIs, submittals, and COs.
- Monitor the status of documents and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the project filing system, both physical and electronic.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare documentation as required, including meeting minutes and action items.
- Support quality control processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents.
- Provide training and guidance to project team members on document control processes and tools.
