We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Software Engineering Manager in our Backend Engineering organization at Under Armour. Our mission is to enhance the performance of athletes and fitness enthusiasts worldwide, and we need talented leaders to help drive our innovative solutions. In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic team of software engineers, focusing on the development of services and tools that empower developers and partners in fulfilling Under Armour's commitment to excellence.
Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Run Backend Engineering team, your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our backend services, which play a crucial role in supporting millions of users. Your leadership will influence cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of experts to define and drive our technology roadmap.
- Mentor and guide engineers, enhancing team capabilities and performance.
- Collaborate across teams to improve service offerings and developer experiences.
- Develop technical specifications, requirements, and establish performance metrics.
- Manage effective communication and reporting on project statuses.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and managing software engineering teams.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong project management skills, with experience driving projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to resolve conflicts collaboratively in diverse team settings.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, serverless) is preferred.
