Join the UniFirst team as an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician We are searching for dependable and motivated individuals to become a crucial part of our Maintenance Department. In this position, you'll be involved in the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems. We offer a standard Monday - Friday work week with some evening and weekend overtime opportunities, and we provide on-the-job training to help you succeed.

What your role will include:
- Utilizing hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
- Ensuring the safe operation of machinery and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Following blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues through observation and testing methods.
- Conducting boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, recording results, and making necessary adjustments.
- Performing daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and necessary repairs.
- Recording and analyzing utility meter readings, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Inspecting and maintaining components like motors, belts, and fluid levels to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Completing additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Two-year technical degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Minimum six months of experience in repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting is required; military experience will be considered.
- Successful completion of UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment test is necessary for employment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical literature in English is essential.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills are required.
- Lockout/Tagout experience is mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
