AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Technician for a reputable manufacturing facility located in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality standards, and experience working in a production or plant environment.

Benefits of the Quality Technician:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed
  • Pay: $15/hr. to $19/hr., depending on experience
Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
  • Record finished product weights, perform metal detector checks, case audits, temperature checks, icing thickness measurements, and other in-process data to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Complete pre-operational checklists and verify equipment calibration, including thermometers and scales.
  • Conduct random raw material specification checks to verify compliance with standards.
  • Assist in verification and documentation of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Record and maintain temperature results for raw and undecorated products.
  • Identify and report any food safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Enforce all company safety, GMP, and behavioral rules, promoting a strong culture of food safety and quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving company quality goals.
Requirements: Requirements for the Quality Technician:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in a plant, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and use of hands and arms.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
