Document Review Specialist

Pay Rate: $25 Per Hour
Location: Worcester, MA - Onsite Position
Duration: 6 month contract to start

Summary:
  • This role is within the Legal Department with an expected term length of six (6) months, with the possibility of extension
  • The Documents Review Administrator will have the opportunity to assist the Legal Department with a long-term document retention project related to the company's practice, with a primary focus in Intellectual Property. In this role, the administrator will work to identify, organize and catalog documents in our office with assistance and input from the Legal Department attorneys and operations staff

Role Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand internal corporate policies, rules, and guidelines on document retention
  • Review papered files with the goal of identifying document types (e.g. patents, trademark registrations, vendor correspondence, inventor documents)
  • Interpret document retention guidelines and apply to documents reviewed
  • Create and maintain a spreadsheet registry/database to catalog the documents for review by attorneys; Update spreadsheet with attorney instructions on storage approach
  • Organize papered documents for destruction and/or long-term storage in accordance with Document Retention Policy
  • Other legal and/or administrative tasks as requested

  • Analytical problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements
